Limited edition of 2531.80.00. Essentially same as 2531.80.00 (used by Pierce Brosnan in James Bond movies), except for inscriptions on face and back commemorating the 40th anniversary of James Bond movies (1962-2002).

10007 units were produced. Includes certification and jewelry box, also with inscriptions commemorating James Bond.

This was the first "brand name" watch that I ever bought. With the suggested retail price of 270000 yen, it was definitely no pocket change, but as a James Bond fan, I just had to purchase it.

With 007 inscribed on the face, it's not something you can wear for daily purposes (unless you want to announce to the world that you're a Bond fan), but it's a beautiful watch.

It is interesting to note that in the first James Bond movie starring Brosnan (GOLDENEYE), Bond wore the quartz movement watch, 2541.80.00. Since then, Bond's been wearing the automatic movement watch, 2531.80.00.

This watch was supposedly produced for astronauts working in outer space, although I doubt that there were any astronauts who actually worn it.

This was the first watch I bought purely for collection purpose. Its suggested retail price was 100000 yen, but I was able to get it for 50000 yen, excluding tax.

It's a fine looking watch.

Too bad it went out of production soon after.

This is the watch I use for daily purposes.

It's essentially a cheap quartz watch attempting to resemble a G-shock.

With chronograph, alarm, stopwatch, and date functions, it's more than passable for daily use.

Unfortunately, there's no guarantee on durability and quality. Button for the date functions fell off after few years of use.

For some period, I used CASIO ALARM CHRONOGRAPH for daily purpose, but after the strap on that watch was damaged, I had no choice but to return to this watch. It's amazing that this watch, despite its cheapness, is lasting over a decade minus several functions.

I forgot how I obtained this watch.

I know that I didn't buy it.

For some period, I wore this watch daily in place of BELAMI ALARM CHRONO, but strap was damaged, and I no longer could wear it.

It was useful as a stopwatch (since the one on BELAMI ALARM CHRONO couldn't be used any more). Unfortunately, stopwatch function button has since been damaged. It's permanently fixed in the depressed position, and it won't click out.

Now, no longer useful as a watch or a stopwatch, it's just an accessory on my key chain.

This watch became universally famous as the "James Bond Watch", worn by actor Pierce Brosnan who starred as the British Secret Agent 007.

Omega fully backed the movie series, featuring the Brosnan in its catalogue as "James Bond's choice".

This watch became the basis of the limited edition watch 2537.80.00.

Due to its popularity, it was in production for over a decade with minimal changes, outlasting supposed replacement models, but it was finally replaced by CO-AXIAL movement model.

Although 2XXX.80.00. is not worn by Daniel Craig (who replaced Pierce Brosnan) starring as James Bond, Omega learned from 2537.80.00 that limited edition 007 watches sells well, and couldn't help but introduce another limited edition model.

Omega fully backed the first 007 movie starring Craig, Casino Royale. It again backed Craig in his second outing as 007, Quantum of Solace and introduced another limited edition model based on 2XXX.80.00.
